Challenge
Meet the demands of live television in two different production setups, including a European satellite broadcast intended for several channels.
Solution
A role adapted to each production, with responsive camera work for the Sunday service, followed by editing and technical support for the Christmas service.
Process
Coordination with the control room and production teams, equipment preparation, close attention to the ceremonies and execution of the tasks required by each role. VPS Prod directed both live broadcasts.
Live Sunday service
For this first production broadcast live on RTS, I worked as a camera operator. My role was to deliver precise framing, follow the ceremony and apply the control room instructions in real time.
European broadcast of the Christmas service
For the Christmas service, I worked as a video editor and technical assistant. The programme was transmitted by satellite on RTS and several other television channels across Europe. VPS Prod directed the broadcast.
